Food Chains and Food Webs

A food chain shows who eats whom, starting with a producer that makes its own food and passing on to consumers, predators and prey. Children name each type of feeder, use the chain grass, grasshopper, frog, snake to answer questions, and explain why food webs are drawn and what happens when insects or predators are removed.
