Sound: Pitch and Volume

Every sound is made by vibrations: bigger vibrations sound louder and faster ones sound higher. Pupils decide whether pitch or volume is changing, answer questions on whether sound travels through empty space and how it fades with distance, and explain bottle notes, hearing a train through the rail and how ear defenders work.
