Gravity and Friction: Practice

Gravity pulls things towards the Earth, and friction comes from surfaces rubbing together and slows things down. Children decide which force is at work in four examples, say where we want more or less friction, explain why ice is slippery, and plan a fair test rolling a toy car over carpet, tiles and sand.
