Symmetry and Transformations
A shape has line symmetry if it can be folded to match itself, and rotational symmetry if it fits onto itself when turned. Students count lines of symmetry and order of rotation for squares, kites and hexagons, name reflections, rotations and translations, and find the image of points such as (3, 2) after a reflection or slide.
