Series and Parallel Circuits
In a series circuit there is only one path for the current, but a parallel circuit has branches, so one broken lamp does not switch off the others. Learners sort features into series or parallel, measure current with an ammeter, and explain why houses are wired in parallel and why a whole string of lights can go out when one bulb fails.
