Clauses & Conjunctions

A main clause can stand alone as a sentence, while a subordinate clause starting with words like although, because or when depends on it. Students first label underlined clauses as main or subordinate in six sentences. They then join pairs of short sentences using a given conjunction, from but and because to neither...nor, with the score out of 15.
