Respiration and Blood
Respiration releases energy from glucose in every living cell, and the blood carries oxygen and food to those cells and takes waste away. Students complete the aerobic and anaerobic equations, name blood components, and judge true or false statements about plants, red blood cells and capillaries. Written answers separate breathing from respiration and explain why a sprinter's legs ache.
