Four pictures appear and three belong together, by colour, shape, size or kind. Your child finds the one that does not fit, and the reason is shown after every answer.

The most useful question here is "why?". A child who can explain that the banana is the only one that is not round is sorting by a rule, which is the start of reasoning.
