Direct & Indirect Speech
Direct speech gives a speaker's exact words inside quotation marks, and indirect speech reports them, usually shifting the tense and pronouns. Here pupils change eight sentences, covering statements and questions such as "Where were you yesterday evening?", into reported speech. A short passage about Bilal's team winning a match comes next with questions, for a total of 15 marks.
