Directed Writing: Reports, Articles & Speeches
Reports, articles and speeches can share material but serve different readers: a report helps someone decide and ends with numbered recommendations, an article needs a headline and hook, and a speech speaks directly to its audience and asks them to act. Quick sorting questions come first, then students work from survey data about a crowded school canteen.
