Halves and Quarters

A half is one of two equal parts and a quarter is one of four. Children find half and a quarter of 8, 12 and 20, decide if statements like two quarters make one half are true or false, then draw and shade halves and quarters of a rectangle and a circle. A last question about a cake cut into quarters asks them to show what is left.
