Angles as Turns

An angle is an amount of turn, and a quarter turn makes a right angle, the square corner we see on books and doors. Children work out how many quarter turns make a half or whole turn, follow clockwise and anticlockwise turns from north and east, hunt for right angles in the classroom, and think about a clock hand moving.
