Animal Groups and Classification

Animals with backbones fall into five groups (fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals), each with features such as gills, feathers or fur. Children sort six animals, name the feature that marks each group, and think through tricky cases like the dolphin and the bat before writing a good yes/no question of their own.
