The Circulatory System
The heart pumps blood around the body through arteries, veins and capillaries, and blood is made of red cells, white cells and plasma. Pupils name each part, decide whether statements about veins and arteries are true or false, and explain double circulation and why the pulse rises during exercise. A pulse-counting question rounds things off.
