The Respiratory System
Breathing moves air in and out of the lungs, while respiration releases energy inside every cell, and this sheet helps children keep the two apart. Students put the route of air in order from trachea to alveoli, name the diaphragm and the gases exchanged, and compare oxygen and carbon dioxide in breathed-in and breathed-out air before writing short explanations.
