Rock Types and the Rock Cycle
Rocks belong to three families: igneous rock forms from cooled magma, sedimentary rock from pressed layers, and metamorphic rock from heat and pressure. Pupils sort granite, sandstone and marble, predict what limestone and mudstone become, explain the difference between weathering and erosion, and trace one full path around the rock cycle.
