Atomic Structure
Atoms are made of protons, neutrons and electrons: the atomic number counts protons, the mass number adds protons and neutrons, and electrons fill shells 2, 8, 8. Class 8 students give particle charges, calculate neutrons and mass numbers, and write electron arrangements for sodium, chlorine and neon. Explain questions cover noble gases, why sodium forms Na⁺ and identifying an ion.
