Circles: Parts and Construction
Every circle has a centre, radius, diameter and circumference, and the diameter is always twice the radius. Students name parts such as a chord, arc, sector and segment, convert between radius and diameter, and work out compass settings for given circles. Explain questions cover why the diameter is the longest chord and how to construct a perpendicular bisector.
