Coordination and Homeostasis: Practice
Homeostasis keeps internal conditions such as body temperature and blood glucose within narrow limits, using both nervous and hormonal control. On this sheet students compare the two systems, trace a reflex arc and a synapse, name the pancreatic hormones that lower and raise blood glucose, and describe responses to heat and cold using vasodilation and vasoconstriction, plus the pupil reflex.
