Movement In and Out of Cells: Practice
Osmosis is the net movement of water from a higher to a lower water potential through a partially permeable membrane, while active transport uses energy from respiration to move substances against a concentration gradient. Definitions of turgid, flaccid and plasmolysed cells sit beside potato strip results, where students calculate percentage change in mass and interpret the graph.
