Energetics and Rates of Reaction: Practice
Exothermic reactions release energy to the surroundings and endothermic reactions take it in, and ΔH can be found as the energy of bonds broken minus bonds made. Tasks include a labelled reaction profile, ΔH from bond energies for forming water and ammonia, and rate explanations through collision theory that say whether collisions become more frequent or more energetic than the activation energy.
