Metals and Reactivity: Practice
The reactivity series ranks metals by how readily they react, with carbon and hydrogen placed in it to show which metal oxides carbon can reduce and which metals displace hydrogen from acids. Brass and bronze, rusting conditions and blast furnace raw materials come up, with equations for calcium and water, magnesium and steam, and iron(III) oxide reduced by carbon monoxide.
