States of Matter: Practice
The kinetic particle theory explains solids, liquids and gases and the changes between them, and the same ideas account for diffusion and for the sharp melting point of a pure substance. Learners name a separation method for mixtures such as salt from seawater, calculate an Rf value, predict where the white ring forms in the ammonia and hydrogen chloride tube, and sketch a cooling curve.
