What this lesson covers

Data & Graphs is a 9-part Class 5 Mathematics lesson. Each part makes one point and then hands over to the next, so it can be read in a sitting or picked up again at the part you stopped on. How it begins

Data is information collected to answer a question. A long list of numbers is hard to read. A graph turns that list into a picture, so patterns you would never spot in a table become obvious at a glance. The skill has two halves: drawing a graph that tells the truth clearly, and reading one that someone else drew.
